Statement of Intention:
The philosophical foundation and framework for the strategic plan will support the holistic wellbeing of women affected by trauma – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually – so they are prepared, confident, and empowered to pursue meaningful and sustainable employment pathways.
This foundation is intended for wholeness, balance and continuity. To assist us to restore and enhance our founding values, ensure community accountability, honour past knowledge and lived experience and commit to women’s self determination. Its the bridging of ideas and collective achievement in our dynamic workplace.
Vision
Women affected by violence, abuse or neglect have the choice and opportunity to break free from the cycles of violence, poverty, and isolations, and to achieve safety, health and personal control in their lives.
Mission.
Bridges is a feminist, strength-based, gutsy, innovative, trauma-informed community agency. Our healing, education and employment programs inspire a diversity of women impacted by trauma, violence,
abuse or neglect to reclaim their lives and build economic security.
