bridges community access point Internet is a powerful tool for economic and social development in a global, knowledge-based economy. Bridges CAP Station is located at suite 320, 1175 Cook Street, Victoria BC. It is a place where women in the community can find:
  • a comfortable place to access 1 of 2 computer workstations,
  • printer & internet access,
  • telephone for local calls,
  • an IP Phone for free long distance to another IP Phone, at a CAP Station or anywhere in the world,
  • washroom facilities,
  • wheel chair accessibility and
  • 1 on 1 assistance on Fridays with a tech-volunteer by request.
  • Bring your own USB Flash Drive for storage.
CAP is open to students & alumnae from any of our Bridging Programs and is supported by BridgesIT Support Services. Thank you Community Partners!

The Community Access Program (CAP) is a federal government initiative to make Canada a connected country in the world. Launched in 1994, the goal is to set up 10,000 Canadian public access sites to the Internet.

Bridges is an official part of the South Island Community Access Network and the Federal website for all BC CAP sites. CAP was originally federally funded by Industry Canada.
