The Bridges Employment Program (BEP) is a four-month group-based program designed for women who self-identify as having experienced trauma, violence, abuse or neglect, and who want to reclaim their lives. Through intentional curriculum and skilled facilitators, participants explore a range of personal and professional development topics.

These include understanding the impacts of abuse on employability and relationships, creating personal safety, developing a vision for the future, building essential skills needed for safe and healthy relationships, self-care, career exploration, job search strategies and more. The program also incorporates volunteering, group mentoring and local connections by bringing in guest speakers, local employers, and important community services.

This program is suited to individuals who have goals such as: re-entering the workforce, returning to school, starting a business, building community connections and volunteering. Many of the skills required for success in the workforce are practiced throughout the program make it a safe place to build confidence and move towards personal and professional goals.

Our programs are open to all women (transgender and cisgender), non-binary, and two-spirit people who identify as part of the women’s community.
